AMP 2015 in review

It was great attending AMP. We not only announced enhancements to our QIAGEN Clinical Insight (QCI™) solution, but we also met new friends and customers, learned about fascinating new studies, and interacted with many brilliant minds in the field of molecular pathology.

During the event, we hosted four “Insights on Oncology” workshops and a roundtable dinner, and Dan Richards, VP of Biomedical Informatics, QIAGEN Bioinformatics, presented an in-booth demo titled “Enabling Precision Medicine – Through Scalable NGS Assay Interpretation & Reporting in Oncology.”

On November 4th, we hosted a workshop entitled “Practical Considerations When Using a Clinical Decision Support System for NGS Variant Analysis, Interpretation, and Reporting.” Speakers included Dr. Ferreira-Gonzalez from Virginia Commonwealth University and Jason Peterson from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical. They discussed practical aspects involved in the evaluation and use of NGS data analysis tools in the clinical laboratory, as well as their firsthand experiences with our newly announced QIAGEN Clinical Insight – a scalable clinical decision support platform designed to assist molecular pathologists in interpreting and reporting NGS variants from targeted gene panels run on any next-gen sequencing instrument.

Our focus on informatics solutions for personalized medicine, combined with AMP’s theme of “Realizing the Dream of Precision Medicine,” combined to help us enjoy resounding success at this event. We hope to see you at AMP 2016. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about how QIAGEN Clinical Insight can help you and your team.
