AACR attendees, we’ll see you in Chicago!

Next week is the annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research, taking place this year at the McCormick Place convention center in Chicago. Genomics, once represented in just a tiny sliver of AACR posters and presentations, is now a major theme at this event so we are looking forward to learning about new innovations and interventions enabled by DNA sequencing and advanced bioinformatics.

If you’ve never attended AACR, it’s a biggie — organizers are expecting more than 22,000 attendees at this year’s meeting. The agenda is replete with talks and award lectures from cancer luminaries, genomic pioneers, and rising stars. Sessions will span the gamut of cancer research and treatment, from experimental therapies to cancer health disparities and more.

AACR is also a really big deal for the QIAGEN team. We’ll be showcasing our bioinformatics tools in booth #3431. Please stop by to learn about how our solutions can help you overcome common challenges in cancer NGS data analysis and interpretation. We’ll be offering demos of Biomedical Genomics Workbench, Ingenuity Pathway Analysis, OmicSoft Array Studio, and QIAGEN Clinical Insight-Interpret software.

To see how some of these tools are being used in labs, don’t miss two presentations taking place April 17th from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in the Exhibitor Spotlight Theater B (that’s in Hall A, level 3 of McCormick Place South). The session is entitled “Unlocking cancer’s secrets: from measuring residual disease in AML to using advanced bioinformatics to explore disease signatures in CLL” and will include presentations from NHLBI’s Christopher Hourigan and our own scientist, Jean-Noel Billaud.

Looking forward to seeing you in Chicago!
