This page covers frequently asked questions on the functionality of QIAGEN CLC Genomics Workbench IVA plugin following the retirement of the Ingenuity Variant Analysis (IVA) application Dec 31, 2020.
Q: Will the Ingenuity Variant Analysis plugin work once the Ingenuity Variant Analysis (IVA) application has been retired?
A: Yes, but for upload only. Once IVA is retired Dec 31, 2020, you will be able to use your existing IVA plugin to upload samples to our new application QIAGEN Clinical Insight Interpret (QCII) Translational.
Note that only the upload functionality will work. It will not be possible to initiate QCII Translational analysis from the QIAGEN CLC Genomics Workbench, just as it will not be possible to have annotated and filtered variants imported into the Genomics Workbench.
For successful upload of samples to QCII Translational, in the Ingenuity Variant Analysis plugin wizards chose the following settings:
Once uploaded, your samples will be available from the QCI Samples List page from where you can create analysis.
Q: Can I use the IVA plugin once I upgrade to QIAGEN CLC Genomics Workbench 21?
A: No. The IVA plugin will not be distributed past QIAGEN CLC Genomics Workbench 20.
Q: How can I upload samples from QIAGEN CLC Genomics Workbench 20 (and older) to QCII Translational?
A: You can leverage your existing IVA plugin to upload samples to QCII Translational. See the answer to “Will the Ingenuity Variant Analysis plugin work once the Ingenuity Variant Analysis (IVA) application has been retired?”
Q: How can I upload samples from QIAGEN CLC Genomics Workbench 21 to QCII Translational?
A: We plan to release a QCII plugin for QIAGEN CLC Genomics Workbench 21 in the first half of 2021. Until then, please export your variants to VCF and upload them directly via the QCII Translational application.
