NGS data analysis training at LMU

Hands-on training courses on Genomics Workbench, Biomedical Genomics Workbench, and Ingenuity Variant Analysis, June 16th-18th at the LMU Biocenter

Training courses

We would like to invite you to our training courses on NGS data analysis. The courses are organized by Dr. Andreas Brachmann, LMU Munich, in collaboration with QIAGEN.

We offer three independent courses on Genomics Workbench, Biomedical Genomics Workbench, and Ingenuity Variant Analysis.

Course 1 June 16th, 9 AM – 4 PM:

Analysing human diseases: Biomedical Genomics Workbench and Ingenuity Variant analysis

Hands on training on Biomedical Genomics Workbench and Ingenuity Variant Analysis introducing the main features of the software and covering subjects as data preparation and QC evaluation, identifying, annotating, and filtering variants, and much more.

Due to huge interest in this course covering Biomedical Genomics Workbench and Ingenuity Variant Analysis we have now opened for an additional session on this to take place on Wednesday June 17. Please register here.

Course 2 June 17th, 9 AM – 4 PM:

Analysing any organism: Basic training on Genomics Workbench

Hands on training on CLC Genomics Workbench introducing the main features of the software and covering subjects as data preparation and QC evaluation, read mapping, variant detection and how to set up an automatic pipeline using workflows.

Course 3 June 18th, 9 AM – 4 PM:

Analysing any organism: Advanced training on Genomics Workbench

Hands on training on CLC Genomics Workbench covering subjects as de novo assembly, genome finishing, RNA-sequencing, and ChIP-sequencing.

Registration

These training courses are open to all and free of charge. To accomodate as many people as possible, we kindly ask you to register for one course only. Participation in more than one course will be accepted only if free seats are available.

Please note that there is a limited number of seats available for each course. If you’re more than 2-3 persons from the same lab interested in one of these courses, please contact us before booking.

You can also register by email to Andreas Brachmann (brachmann@lmu.de). In addition, you’re welcome to provide us with your specific interests prior to the course so that we can plan accordingly.
